Karbon Practice Management Integration

Client onboarding is an extremely important process that will not only give you a clear record of new clients, but ensure that they pass all relevant KYC, AML, and risk assessment regulations. A smooth onboarding experience will also appease your new client, enhancing your burgeoning business relationship. 


Summa Tech’s client onboarding software is a tool that helps you speed up the onboarding process. It includes all security checks such as KYC and AML and provides you with a clear and concise overview of your clients. 


By integrating Summa Tech onboarding with Karbon, you can seamlessly create new contacts using the information already gathered.


You can link onboarding and Karbon together by using a connection token. To find your token in Karbon, navigate to Settings > Connected Apps > Summa Tech Onboarding and copy this to your clipboard

Within the Onboarding app, click your name in the top right corner then Administration.



Click the Karbon Settings tab and paste your connection token, then click connect.



If successful, you will be prompted to select a default onboarding workflow. This workflow will automatically start when a contact is created in Karbon, or you can leave this blank.



Once Karbon is integrated to Summa Tech Client Onboarding, you can make use of the seamless creation of Contacts and Organisations within Karbon.


Creating or linking a contact in Karbon


After the New Client Form has been completed, the next stage in the engagement is to create a contact in Karbon.


You will see 3 options: Create contact, Link contact or Not required.

 


If you click Create contact, this will create the contact in Karbon with all the information provided.


Link contact will allow you to link an existing contact in Karbon. The pop-up will allow you to search for the contact in Karbon, or paste in their URL



All information accessible will be added, including:


    Client name

    Partner and Manager responsibilities

    Physical and Legal addresses

    Email address and telephone number

    Company Registration, UTR, VAT and NI numbers (where applicable)

    Year end date


Our Onboarding app will also start a workflow, if you have set this up!
